Winter Cattails by tdaug80

Winter Cattails

I'm not being a flash-of-red Maverick, today. I'm sticking with this week's theme of Texture/Pattern. These are some cattails from a local wildlife preserve. I went looking for wildlife, but despite the unseasonably warm temperature, the wildlife seemed to be in hibernation.
nice light and textures here

Great shot- especially the way the light is playing off the cattails. Too bad a cardinal didn't drop by while you were shooting them.

Gorgeous back light to rim those cattails so nicely!
Well done!

I am a big fan of backlighting. This is lovely with the fluffy edges on those rushes. I was really enjoying your maverick photos!!

Fab lighting and DOF!

@elatedpixie Thanks. I think it would have been improved with a bit more DOF, though. Having the smaller cattails in focus improves the composition, I think. Oh well, it's too late, now.
