Longhorn Beetle by tdaug80

Longhorn Beetle

My get-pushed partner challenged me to try a macro of insect or plant life. We often see these beetles inside the house where they are not welcome. This one was on the back porch. They tend to be very slow-moving creatures. When I find one inside, I can just pick him up with my fingers and toss him outside. This one was so still while I was photographing him (might be a her?) that I thought it might be dead. It was gone later in the day, so I guess not.
@francoise At long last, my bug macro.

Fascinating thing. Does it bite? Looks kind of Jurassic

Cool. Looks like a cross between a plant and an insect. I guess that's its camouflage?
