Hi Tim, have you tried the Brenizer technique? its making a stitched panorama focused on a close subject to obtain a very shallow depth of field https://expertphotography.com/brenizer-method/
Have a go for get-pushed .
But if that looks like it takes too much time and effort you could present a diptych using a shallow depth of field and shooting two photos from the same spot , but changing the point of focus to show two different subjects , one close and one further away.

@kali66 No, I haven't heard of it. Now that I've read the article, I still don't understand how it is different from making a panorama. I'll have to read it again, and maybe to some more research. This is the sort of get-pushed challenge I like. Let's see what I can come up with for you.

I think the main difference is that usually a panorama is made of a landscape where all the elements are far from the camera, here most of your shots will be out of focus, so when you join them together it will give an illusion of a very shallow depth of field which you wouldnt be able to obtain with one shot. give it a try , if you google it you will find more instruction i am sure
