Grey Butcherbird by terryliv

Grey Butcherbird

This grey butcherbird came down to try to get a share of our banana and cinnamon muffin with whipped cream at the Hinze Dam café on Friday.
Love these little fellows. They share food, nesting and habitat with the pied butcherbird and consequently, the two species fight and do not share territory. Where you see one species, you wont see the other.
I had an episode with these fellows earlier in the year and they didn't endear themselves to me. They took to eating some newly hatched turkey chicks! But this is a beautiful capture. He has his eye right on you.
