The Lowing Herd Winds Slowly O'er the Lea

Day 20 - Kennedy Development Rd, Western Qld

This may not have been the scene that Thomas Gray had in mind when he wrote his famous elegy but it was the first thing that sprang into my mind when I saw these cattle making their way across this paddock.

But it begs the question. With all that open space, why did they have to follow each other?
