Before . . . .

Over the past week or so, this Tent Spider has built a fabulous web on our back patio. Rhoda keeps demanding her removal but the web so is grand and the spider so industrious that I have left it there to see what happens.

We have both walked into the web a couple of times (which is usually when Rhoda threatens it with execution) but it lives on.

PS Despite the shape of its web, I am now having doubts that this is a Tent Spider. Looks a lot like a Golden Orb but some characteristics don't add up. I have now sent some pics off to my spider friend to get an ID on it
