Just Taking a Breather

Continuing my week of birds in our backyard.

I have posted many shots of these Kookaburras over the past few years and they are still very regular visitors to our kitchen window.

Busy times in Kookaburra land at present and we only get to see the males and young females with the females sitting on eggs or chicks.

A family that lives in the backyard of our Gladstone house raised three chicks this year. I loved seeing them always nestled up close together during their early days out of the nest.
