Repulse Bay is on the southern side of HK island and is a popular residential area for ex pats.
The apartment block on the left is a great example of how the old Chinese custom of Feng Shui has been incorporated into modern HK.. It is believed that a dragon lives in the hills behind Repulse Bay and when this block was being built, a hole was left in the building so that the dragon could get down to the water. Dragons are one of the good guys of Chinese customs. The hole would be costing them a motza in lost leasing revenue each year so I hope the dragon makes plenty of use of his hole.
Most interesting indeed! And good point on what that dragon portal is costing in lost revenue. That's a beautiful blue sky; it really made the unique buildings shine.
And speaking of blue skies, the one in my owl picture was a sweet treat. Haven't seen a whole lot of the sun this winter. Had it been another cloudy day, the photo would've been rather bland. Thanks for stopping by for a look-see, especially considering you're spending time with family.
