. . so little time. I said in my profile that during the year, I would get photographs involving all of my interests - one of which was home brewing. Some of you very imaginative people out there may be able to come up with interesting pics of home brewing but it was way beyond my right side capabilities. So I just settled for a pic of some of the excellent pre-packaged brews at the brew shop this morning. Borrrring!!!!
There is nothing boring about home brew, especially when it's done right.
My wife's uncles who are Ukranian do their own home brewing. Though it's usually made from potatoes is clear and you could run you car on it.
@demelo Hi Ann, Yes that is a brew that is supposed to be similar to Corona, a Mexican beer. I always assumed that Cerveza was Spanish - a bad assumption it would seem.
@soniainhk You've given the game away!! You'll notice that I called this one Home Brew (Before). Watch out for Home Brew (During) and the most important one Home Brew (After)
I rarely come away from one your pages without having had a good chuckle. Or a down right rollicking laugh. This one has inspired the latter. Sonia's input was priceless and I loved your response to that. Looking forward to the During and the After brew pics as well. This Before shot is very intriguing, full of color and potential (brews).
As always, thanks for swinging by my pages and sharing a thought or two. Especially like the comment about the X-acto knife being the best photo you've ever seen of one. Truth be told, it's the best one I've ever seen of one as well, and for the same reason. For the record, an X-acto Knife is for cutting an exact line. Or something like that. I use them in fine-tuning corner cuts on matting for picture framing. If I was better at the mat cutting I wouldn't need the X-acto knife.
@lyndemc he could do an a-z on home brewing ... W for waiting, b for bubbles, p for pouring! I've been enjoying your project all month, wondering what z will be :)
@terryliv nothing that tasty, it's called rakia also known as grappa. It tastes like windex and doesn't go down easy. After having it for 20 years or so I'm used to it, it is more of a social drink to have with friends and family. And very good at getting you drunk :-)
Great memories mate......I brewed for years when living at Wellington, NSW. Had two 23 litre kegs and a tap on the outside of the fridge. Used Morgans a bit.....liked their Pilsener in Summer and Mountain Lager. Might get back into it when properly settled in Lithgow. Cheers mate, have one for me.
