My Brisbane 35 - The Bridge Lights Up for Allison

Last night, the Story Bridge was lit up in yellow to honour her memory of Allison Baden-Clay. Yellow was Allison's favourite colour. It was all part of "Strive to be Kind" day.
Everyone in Oz knows who Allison Baden-Clay was - O/S 365ers will have to Google her.
I imagine this will look better on black

(Being at Sandgate with Maggie yesterday and knowing that the bridge was going to be lit up for Allison, I posted my Friday pics very early yesterday and then deliberately invoked Rule 37, Sect 3, sub-sect xiv which states that the new day starts once the pics for today have been posted.)
I just googled. Sad story. Nice that people want to remember her, and nice photo.

Lovely capture, such a sad, sad thing. The bridge looks wonderful! I don't know what this world is coming to now days, but then we see such good as well.
I wasn't aware of this Rule 37? haha

Another great shot, it's a great tribute. I don't care what those Sydney people say, I think the people from Brisbane are very caring and kind hearted :)

Wonderful tribute to Allison and great night capture. So is this bridge lit up on different occasions to honour special people?
As for rule 37, sec t3, sub-section xiv, I thought amendment 5 was now in place??

With that lighting it looks magnificent

@gilbertwood Hi Denise, The bridge is always lit up - in your standard orangey white I think. They can select whatever colours they like so it gets changed for different occasions eg it was rainbow a few months ago to mark something to do with gay rights.
BTW, Amendment 5 was deemed to not apply to people whose tag name commenced with "Poppo".

I think it's very special how this bridge is lit in honor or remembrance of various people. I've read some sad stories thanks to your night shots of this structure. Well taken image, by the way. I hope Allison's family, including her parents and daughters find some comfort in knowing others sympathize with their loss.

It's a wonder we didn't run into one another, I did an Alison bridge photo the same night, though looks like you got there an hour or so before me!

@tomtom Hi Andrew, I am very surprised that I haven't come across your posts before. At least I know now why I didn't get as good a response to my Allison Story Bridge shots as I expected - everyone was too busy commenting on your shot. Where did you take that from or is that a professional secret. Wilson Park off Bowen Tce, the place I used for my Daniel Morcombe shot back in March, was useless this time since there was a bloody big crane in the way. (It is rebuilding the walkway). Your shot looks to be the same angle but from a greater height - and there is no crane.
I also had a flip through your album, which I now regret as you have a number of shots that I was planning to do in my "My Brisbane" series later in the year. Now I will have to find other shots. Anyway, for better or worse, I am now following you. :-(
