Glorious November day in BrisVegas today and there were plenty of people taking advantage at City Beach.
City Beach is a man made beach and is part of the South Bank Parkland directly across the river from the city. The river is the narrow strip of water just beyond the bright blue water.
The sand is brought in from one of our lovely sandy beaches that lie both north and south of Brisbane.

Wonderful image of the South Bank Beach Terry, I did not believe there was such a place until my niece took me there for a swim with her children in 2004;)
I see the gulls don't mind that it's a man-made beach. They're dippin' right in like the rest of the crowd. Odd to think you're all going for a swim while we're just above freezing temps here.
