We Dont Do Halloween by terryliv

We Dont Do Halloween

Well not normally but last night we were over at some friends for dinner and they live in an area with many young families so they were all set up for the evening. These friendly looking things welcomed the kids with a big bag of sweets hanging underneath.
Sam
They put in a lot of effort - good for them!

This one really is more scary than fun. I wonder if some of the children were afraid to visit at this house.

This is great. I have been in America for Halloween, this is the type of setup they have there too.

@peterlgrave Definitely not Peter. Rhoda and I usually lock the door and hide under the bed. Well Rhoda hides under the bed, I use it as a great excuse to play PP&M's song A Soalin on UTube which I have just finished doing once again.

@terryliv I thought you were going to say you used the bed as a trampoline when Rhoda hides under it Terry. lol

We never celebrated Halloween - except for bobbing apples. What was that all about? I don't answer the door - only trouble was the only people who rang at the door were family who hadn't said they were coming!! I was shouting to my sister - don't open it as she was letting them in!! What a great welcome!! LOL!!

Our Halloween was a downpour of rain, we live on a hillside and don't get any!

Sure is scary but very creative. I don't mind kids celebrating but do think it has got far to commercial. Also some kids are getting far to cheeky and demanding, not happy with a few sweets. I had a friend who offered sweets and the kids said no thank you we want money!!!!

We seem to be celebrating Halloween more over the last 8 years, as more Trick or Treaters come to our door each year:)

We celebrated Halloween in a big way in Hong Kong. It was easy there - you only needed to do one apartment block and you have enough sweets for a month!
