Wood Art 1

I have never seen anything like this before.

In the Canberra Botanical Gardens, there were a number of art pieces made from small sections of tree branches. In some of the pieces, the sections were arranged on edge while in others, they were end on.

In these wall hangings, the pieces were end on and were of slightly different lengths and diameters to give a 3 dimensional effect.
They were brilliant. Whoever created them had the patience of Job though.
I think you would have a panic attack if you saw a white ant.
@lyndemc You could use this for your month of browns Denise

These are beautiful! We recently saw some woodwork that looked like tiny mosaic tile.

Wow, they are fabulous. I saw something similar a few years ago at a recycled art exhibition in Newcastle, but the wood slices weren't as good as this. There was also a similar one with corks.

@terryliv You're so right!! I took a picture of a stockpile of wood today that looks a little bit like this. Okay, not really anything like it except round ends of wood but without any creative thought to their arrangement. This here is incredible.

I really like this artwork. Sort of like a mix of Aboriginal dot painting and curvy women!
