Once you get past Surfers, the rest of the Gold Coast is much more sensible. This was the first time we had been to Surfers in 20 odd years - for good reason.
When it opened in 2005, Q1 was the tallest residential building in the world. It is now ranked 6th which just goes to show the folly of trying to build the xxxxest of anything since someone will surely come along and build a xxxxer one.
