We stumbled across this Tamil Hindu temple basically in the middle of nowhere (on the (far) outskirts of Brisbane). I had never heard of it and it was a bit of a jaw dropper.
There was a Hindu looking guy working a vegetable garden near the temple and I yelled out to him and asked him what it was. After he answered, he invited me in to take some shots but by the time we got around to the entrance, he had gone inside so I never got to ask him about it.
From what I can find out, it was built by the Tamil Hindu community of south east Queensland. I hope to go back to see if I will be allowed inside for some photos.
If you are interested, there is some history and info at http://sriselvavinayakar.org/history.htm
I cant find anything about the translation of the temple name

@joannakate If you have a look at the web site I posted Joanna, you will see that it was built over the top of a very basic brick building. I think it is fabulous what they have done with it.
What an amazing building, I thought for a minute you were off on your travels again! I seem to remember something about this being built, did they not bring temple builders over from India to construct it?
