As I said in an earlier posting, these small western towns rely heavily on tourism for their survival. And while they don't have much to offer tourists, they promote heavily what little they do have.
Boulia, in Western Queensland's claim to fame is that it is the home of the Min Min Lights and they have a very interesting show on the lights to draw the tourists in and relieve them of a few dollars.
The lights are rarely seen and their origin is a source of much conjecture but they appear to float above the ground.
