Lizard Man 2 by terryliv

Lizard Man 2

We rescued this half grown blue tongue lizard out of the pool. He had probably been swimming around all night and was pretty lethargic.

Declan was holding him and as the warmed up, he became a bit more active and climbed up his arm and onto his neck.

A couple of days earlier I had found some skink lizard eggs in one of the pot plants and gave them to Declan to hold. While he had them, one of the eggs hatched onto his hand. The baby lizard was not worried at all and was passed backwards and forwards between Declan and Grace for quite a while before it was put into the garden. All of the other eggs, bar one, have since hatched also.

They don't get this in London
Your grandsons will remember this trip always. What fun “boy” things they got to do at your home!

How strange. I read today that in South Florida the Lizards are falling out of trees because they are so cold. http://www.telegraph.co.uk/news/worldnews/northamerica/usa/6947254/Kamikaze-iguanas-fall-from-Floridas-frozen-trees.html

Somehow I don't think you'd be able to get this shot with the granddaughters. Nicely done!
