What is really weird is that the horse was not from the local district, nor was it even from Australia but was bred by by Willoughby Bertie, 4th Earl of Abingdon, in England. Also, it lived from 1773 to 1800. So why Pip decided to do a sculpture of this particular horse is anyone's guess. Perhaps being a self confessed horseaholic, she had long known of the racehorse and its name.
