My shot last night was going to be the moon rising over the city at dusk from Mt Cootha. Of course, being the lunar eclipse night, there were already a number of cameras up there as well as two of the television stations.
But we had all these grey things in the sky, clouds I think they are called, and it was a wipe out. So I took a couple of pics of the would be lunar watchers and went home.
B&W since that seemed to match my mood at the time.
Many thanks to everyone for their comments and favs on the Cocky Fly By pic. I was stunned and it certainly changed my mood from earlier on.
Excellent shot and it really tells the story of the eclipse that never was. I got a picture of the moon just before the eclipse began and it was just about to hide behind the mass of clouds for the evening. Would you believe the sky is clear as a bell tonight. Typical.
I love this shot. It reminds me of when I walk the wetlands and I see all the professional photographers lined up in a row all trying to capture the same bird. All trying to get that money shot. I have always wanted to photograph a lot of them but I figured they would throw me overboard if I did.
Excellent candid image Terry, looks great in B&W, everyone getting on with thier thing and ignoring the photographer, very reminiscent of 50s & 60s 35mm images;)
