One Tough Pot Plant by terryliv

One Tough Pot Plant

I forget the name of these (does anyone recognise it?) but the tour guide told us that they are a pot plant that has escaped from the pot and is now establishing itself in various parts of Central Oz. Usually if you frown at a pot plant it dies so these must not have read the pot plant hand book.
These were growing alongside the Stuart Highway and while they look very pretty at present, let's hope it doesn't get out of hand.
Thanks to Margaret @ubobohobo , it is Rosy Dock

They are very pretty! It reminds me of urban legends of alligators in the sewer, big but starting out as baby pets flushed away.

Love the coloured rocks as well :)

Looks very pretty. Pity it is an invader. Your lovely photo makes it look very special. Is it Rosy Dock? I remember sharing a story book with my school kids about Rosy Dock and thought this may be it.

Beautiful colours and rocks. I like the contrast between the red flower and white wispy grass.

This is a beautifully composed shot - love the colors of both the rocks and the flower - they're great together.

The flowers certainly look pretty out there in that landscape. I don't know what they are though.

Sometimes those pesty things make the best subject. Lemonade out of lemons? Maybe strawberry margarita out of rosy docks?

Amazing :)

I have never heard of Rosy Dock, but it looks great. Do hope it doesn't become a pest though.
