Wildlife taking over 1 - Turn it on thanks

This King Parrot decided to make himself at home and came into the family room and settled on the fan which was about 3 metres inside the house. Photo taken about 6 months ago.
Great shot, love the colour.

Great shot Poppo. I've been living with the King's at our cabin for a few days. Beautiful birds.

Terry ... Love all your bright bird photos. Do you live outside Brisbane, or these kind of birds normal in the city?

Wow, that was brave of him, and he is a beauty

@richardhoeg Hi Richard, Probably the answer is no to both questions. We are only about 6ks from the centre of the city but we do live in an area with lots of trees and are fairly close to Mt Cootha Forest so there is a good bird population. However, the King Parrot is not common in Brisbane but I think that over time, the pair come here have earmarked us as a place where they can get food. They were here regularly earlier in the year (see my pics in Jan) but we have not seen them now for a month or more. Someone did tell us once that we were on a migratory flight path for the king parrots which may explain why we have them here from time to time.

@karlow75 @hermann @thresheg @leestevo @digitalrn @landownunder @richardhoeg @gigiflower Thank you everyone. It would be nice to have them on tap Denis. As I said back in Jan when I posted the King Parrot shot, they are one of my favourites - along with the crimson rosella which we don't get here
