Wildlife Taking Over 8 - Can I have some mud crab too.

As you can see I was getting some assistance from a Rainbow Lorikeet in getting the flesh out of a mud crab. It was bloody nice too. Pic taken last May

Mmmmm, fresh mud crab is awesome. Unfortunately the rainbow lorikeets aren't so friendly here.

Looks delicious. I thought lorikeets were supposed to be vegetarian, but the ones here pinch raw mince off the magpies when we feed them. Cannibal lorikeets here!!

WOW! Your wildlife is very tame! Do you think it is because of all the lovely food you feed them! They are spoilt with mud crab ;)

Yum- love mud crab. haven't had one for ages! And I just love the lorikeet too- a beautiful bird :)

Interesting. I get the impression most of the birds are quite friendly and accustomed to being close by

That is just the wildest thing, that these parrots are so comfortable with offering "assistance".
