Is this the definition of sacrilege. Take five (only showing four here) brand new Lamborghinis, paint them ridiculous colours and then display them in Stanley Markets Hong Kong alongside a similarly painted cow. Or perhaps it's the definition of waste, or extravagance, or one upsmanship, or . . . . . .
Taken in during our visit to Hong Kong last year. I have no idea what it was all about.
For you @karlow75
@karlow75 Story 1: One of the residents of the apartment block where my daughter lives in HK had a Zonda - yes a Zonda. We have visited her place twice for two weeks each time and the Zonda was never moved.
Story 2: We were in at Mid Levels in HK one night and there was the usual array of Ferraris, Maseratis and Lambos which everyone was ignoring but I noticed up the street some people looking at a car parked in the kerb. Went over to see what it was and it was a McLaren. That's what it takes to get people to notice.
Story 3: Across the road from my daughters apartments is your regular run of the mill Ferrari, Maserati and Lambo dealership. So anytime you want to slam the tyres and kick the doors you just wander over there. I have seen at least 3 Ferrari dealerships in my short time there and I'll bet there is a lot more than that. And then there is the Bugatti dealership in HK Central where you can buy a Bugatti Veyron off the floor.
You can imagine just how suitable the HK roads are for these supercars.
Wow, that is amazing. @terryliv , there must be a lot of money in HK. The only Bugatti I have seen in the flesh is on rodeo drive. I have never seen a Zonda. We get quite a few Farraris around but they still draw a crowd, as do the Lambo's. HK is certainly on my must visit list.
