From the end of the dirt track, it's a 3.5 km walk over some pretty rough terrain to get to Mitchell Falls. However, if you don't want to do the walk, you can take a 10 min helicopter flight.
As part of the tour, we had a chopper flight to the falls and then we walked out. The operators obviously chose to do things in that order since being a bunch of old farts, they didn't want anyone karking it on the walk in before they had seen the falls. If you karked it on the walk out, well at least you got to see the falls first.
