Day 7 - Mitchell Falls 6

The bottom level waterfall from a different ledge on the top of the cliff. As I mentioned in an earlier shot, the rocks are so old they seem to be crumbling before your eyes.
I meant to mention with yesterdays posting that at the height of the wet season, the waterfalls extend across the full width of the rock face on all levels of the falls so it is just a continuous torrent of water. At the end of the dry, there are no falls at all, just a series of waterholes.

I love the red rock. We have that here too (high iron content), and the rocks can also be quite crumbly.
