Day 10 - Chamberlain Gorge 7 by terryliv

Day 10 - Chamberlain Gorge 7

After a very wet start to the 2010/11 wet season, the Kimberley received 700mm (28ins) of rain in March. The result was record flooding which dumped tonnes of rocks on the river bed and left the river impassable in some places. Volunteers were called for to walk the last section of the cruise so that the boat could navigate the very shallow bottom to reach the stopping point.

On the map at http://365project.org/terryliv/from-the-archiv/2015-01-06 this is shown as Day 11 and it should be Day 10.
