Day 12 - The Bungle Bungles 2 by terryliv

Day 12 - The Bungle Bungles 2

Looking down into one of the many gorges in the Bungles. The depth of the gorges and the shadows made for really difficult conditions for photography.
The next day we will be hiking into a couple of these.
Looks good on black

There is a new version of the map at http://365project.org/terryliv/from-the-archiv/2015-01-07 that goes up to the start of Day 15.

Lovely shot. The Bungle Bungles always reminds me of Neighbours. I saw the show many many years ago when we lived in the UK and somebody on the programme (no idea what her name was) used to paint lots of pictures of the Bungle Bungles I seem to remember. None of them were much cop though. Glad to see a good picture of them now.

Fantastic shot. This place is definitely on my to visit list. I'm looking forward to seeing shots from the hike. And I don't know why I know this @onewing (I think I do anyway), but I think it was Madge, the one married to Harold Bishop who did the paintings.

Terry your map link goes straight to this page/ image again.
Great image. 2 decades ago, I did a 16 day tour of Western Australia, I did a helicopter ride of the Bungles...it was an awesome experience.

That is quite the view

Such a contrast between the sun and shade. I'll bet its cold down there in the shade.

Great to see that bird's eye view. It is just as impressive at ground level. Just takes a lot longer to get around. 8-)

@karlow75 Thanks Kane you could be right, it was almost 30 years ago now I think and I never watched the programme regularly. Thanks for that.
