A collage of shots of the amphitheatre at Cathedral Gorge. Top right and bottom left give an idea of the size of the ceiling.
As you can imagine the acoustics here were extremely good and everyone just wandered around, very quietly taking it all in as if they were in a real cathedral.
Not long after I took the photo bottom right of the two ladies from our group, they stood up and gave an impromptu rendition of Amazing Grace. It was brilliant. Their voices seemed to fill the whole space and everyone just stopped in their tracks to listen to them. I am not in the slightest bit religious but I had goose bumps the whole time. It wasn't until they had finished that I realised I had been so caught up in their performance, that I hadn't thought to take a photo of them. Damn.
For some reason, my camera had an apoplexy while we were here and the majority of the shots were out of focus - many of them badly. I have no idea what happened but it certainly picked the wrong location to stuff up. The best way to hide poor shots is to put them into a collage.
