Day 13 - Echidna Chasm 2

Rhoda on the trek into Echidna Chasm. The rocks in this part of the Bungles are not the familiar beehive dome formations but are conglomerate rocks consisting of smooth pebbles and boulders embedded in sand that has then been compacted by pressure over millions of years.
In case you are interested, they are Livistona Palms which are very common in the Kimberley

There is a map at http://365project.org/terryliv/from-the-archiv/2015-01-06 showing our tour up to the start of Day 15.

Notice the rocks aren't as layered in colour as the beehive ones. Lovely shot with the palm trees
