After we had lunch at Old Halls Creek, we went into Halls Creek where we had the afternoon to ourselves.
To quote John Denver from his song about Toledo "I spent a week there one day".
Halls Creek is one of the population centres in the Kimberley and you can see from the top photo what a thriving metropolis it is.
I hope you can read the sign outside the butcher's shop in the bottom right shot. Typical outback humour.
Probably the only butcher in Halls Creek from memory.I think that it was here that we had to pass our credit card to the attendant before they would turn the fuel pump on to fill the car.Nice collage Terry!!
I like a town like this actually. The sign shows the honesty it can show when there is no competition. We have a little town like this called "Pie Town," that has two businesses, both pie restaurants competing with each other--their motto is, "As good as any other around here."
Every time you say not to comment I feel the need to comment. Sort of like seeing a sign that says Don't Touch. I do like the subject matter and capture, though.
