On our fight from Alice Springs to Sydney.
From the air, it is very easy to see why it is called The Red Centre. It goes on for hundreds of kilometres before you start to see any green at all.
Well that is it for the tour of the Kimberley and the Tanami. I hope you have enjoyed the journey. Thank you for all the comments over the past six and a half months.
I must admit that I got a bit carried away and it ended up going on for much longer than I intended.
I hope that I have inspired some of you to get away from the coastal fringe and to go and explore The Outback. I also hope that for O/S 365ers, I have been able to convince you that Australia does not start and end in Sydney.
On Wednesday, Rhoda and I head back to Alice Springs to start a new 16 day camping tour that takes in the Oodnadatta Track, the Strzelecki Track and the Birdsville Track. A couple of bucket list items to be ticked off there. Can't wait.
What amazing shots. It is an awe inspiring landscape. I hope to travel there sometime soon. It was a great journey. I hope you get lots of shots on this trip so we can see the next adventure.
Oh what a fantastic trip you have been having. I didn't realise you were away travelling due to my lack of 365 participation. I would love to visit Alice Springs and Uluru and Western Australia.
Thoroughly enjoyed your journey through the outback. There certainly seems to be a lot of nothing out there. Can't wait to journey on your next adventure with you. Thank you
@gilbertwood Got your bags packed yet Denise? BTW, we got the Outback Spirit catalogue in the mail yesterday and it looks as if this particular trip is not offered in 2016 :-(
Stunning finish to your wonderful trip Terry! I have really enjoyed it and learnt a lot! Your next trip sounds exciting and I am looking forward to seeing your photos and comments. Safe travelling! Fav!
