I did my best to talk Rhoda into hiring a segway and riding around Uluru in style but she still had visions of France and bicycles and broken arms and helicopters and hospitals and operations etc etc and would not have a bar of it.
When we got out to Uluru, we discovered that
a. You were in an organised group - yuk;
b. The group only went part of the way and then went back; and
c. You had to be under 50. That's Ageism!!! I object!!!!
So we walked.
Don't bother to comment. Just enjoy the walk around Uluru
@gilbertwood Were you in one of these Denise or did you just hire and were then free to do as you pleased and did you tell porky pies about your age? I know you would pass for 50 but really!!!!
@terryliv Yes these are the machines we were on BUT we didn't have a,b,c rules!! Well it was an organised tour but Hugh, Di & I were the only ones! We had a fun guide who let us do what we liked. And we did a complete circle of Uluru and all in our 60's :) @dide The segways do not go fast so you can see everything - also can stop and get off to investigate places. @koalagardens It was a fantastic way to circumnavigate Uluru, Hugh has a heart condition so he couldn't walk that distance, but to do it on a segway was ideal :)
