There was no theme this day and I was due to start shooting my performance art project for 4D, so I thought I'd use the test shot for my 365 image too. Cause 2 birds, 1 stone sometimes makes a whole lot more sense.
I'm not a huge fan of public speaking, even in small groups, and most especially about things that I make... and yet, every single project that's been completed an artist statement and self-critique has been part of the assignment. Every time I'd thought about putting my project on the table and running out the door. This one, I'm caught in front of the camera, being thankful that it didn't have to be live.
It looks simple enough-- but it was a lot more personal than I was comfortable with, but it also taught me a lot about the vulnerability we put ourselves in and its necessity for connection.
