Fun with Photo Stacking ...

.... NOT!!
This particular photo gave me so much trouble!! (but I still love it!)
I took a 10 photo stack of these new maple leaves before I noticed that I clipped off the bottom tips of the leaves so I took a second stack of them with the whole leaf in the shot.
I processed both sets, and, of course this set with the bottoms clipped off turned out with better focus throughout!
This photo would not upload last night even though it was only a 4.3 MB shot. I blamed it on my slow internet, called it a night, and tried again this morning. It still would not upload.
So, I made the file smaller to below 1 MB and it still complained during upload but did eventually go.
Problem child!!

I haven't tried photo stacking but the detail you achieve is fantastic, might have to give this a go, although I am not sure I have our patience!

Stunning image Wendy, I would not have the patience nor the knowledge.

I really like the outcome. The tips you were concerned about look like they are barely poking into water. The rest is so clearly in focus with every detail showing and the colors are beautiful.

sounds like hard work but a great result

Beautiful. Although focus stacking can test one's patience the outcome is worth it.
