@ludwigsdiana@grammyn I had the same impression. The one on the left is actually against a plain white background. My camera darkened it. I could have corrected it, but then the white flowers vanished. It definitely looks better on black and the angle is better (that’s on me, not the camera). Thanks! I am actually trying to figure out how to get a good white on white shot which is one of the darkroom challenges coming up.
@shutterbug49 who came up with WonW?? I hate that genre!!!
Gerberas grow in gardens?? wowee how pretty. I too prefer the second photo, but love the white of the flowers in the first.
The trick for WonW is to over expose and up the EV a bit, but have a bit of shadow otherwise it all blends. See i know the theory- just cannot achieve it!! Look at Vikki @summerfield 's albums, she is the queen of highkey and WonW and nick her ideas and exif data!!!
It's amazing to see what a difference lighting makes. I'm drawn to the one on the left until I look at the color of the of the gerbera daisy on the right.
Hi...ok, I'm a mixed bag here...I like the pov on the left and the lighting on the right and that I can see more of the gerbera on the right. hope you don't mind my adding my 2cents to this. BTW, did you might try using some sort of reflector on the left image if you try that white-on-white again.
