Late afternoon sun on the bee hive

I've driven by these hives many times thinking, "I need to photograph those". Well, it was finally time.

I'm glad to know what these are - it was puzzling me. Haven't seen beehives up close though I do have a nephew who is into raising bees. Unfortunately he's several states away!

@milaniet My brother-in-law raised bees for honey for many years...these are not his. I'm okay with hives as long as the bees are gone.
