What a lovely thing to pass on. I had a beautiful peony that had come from my grandparents garden. My grandfather gave a cutting to my parents when they were newly weds and theirs is still growing strong after over 57 years. The cutting my mother then gave me sadly died the winter before last. It just didn't reappear in the Spring. Irises are my hubby's favourite flowers.
