Lights still glowing...

Our porch lights continue to glow. We will probably keep them up until the new year.
What a great display and such a terrific porch. I've always wanted a house with a porch that runs around the front, back and sides so that I can chase or avoid the sun! We always take our lights and such down before 12th night or it's bad luck for a year....

Yes, they are pretty and yes I'm glad you're planning to keep them up longer. We need the light and the beauty now as much as ever.

Lovely! I agree you should keep the lights until January.
During our first Christmas in Houston, Tx, I was very surprised that they took them down all the decorations on December 26!
We take everything off on January 6th (3 kings day).

I usually like to leave lights up through January 6th which is known as Little Christmas."

I too love a good porch. We see them in NZ & I love to sit on one under the extended roof.we have asked our architect to incorporate one in our plans but it’s not half as nice as yours. We take ours down on or before the 6th Jan, the Feast of the Epiphany. Bad luck to leave them up after that so they say! They look very festive!
