The Missus and I went to the Dutch Gap Wildlife Conservation Area, which is a short distance from our house. The marsh there is full of life. Turtles everywhere, ospreys nesting on the far side, muskrats, rabbits, birds galore, dragonflies and damselflies...the list goes on and on.
As we walked along a boardwalk, the Missus spotted this pink-spotted lady beetle (Coleomegilla maculata) on this flower on one of the plants growing in the marsh.
