The Missus and I went to the Dutch Gap Conservation Area today to go for a walk on an unseasonably mild December day. As we were driving in, she spotted a Bald Eagle (Haliaeetus leucocephalus) perched on a tree on the other side of the old river channel wetlands. I pulled over, started shooting* and as I was, some ducks flew by behind the eagle. Perfect timing.
*I am a Nikon user (a Nikonian) but frequently regret not having bought Canon equipment (a Canonite) if only because I could show pictures like this and say, "I shot an eagle with a Canon!"
