I spent too much time today waiting on things and in waiting rooms. Inspired by @altadc month long nod to basketball I snapped this on my walk home. I always feel rather sad to see these pristine basketball courts devoid of players and minus their hoops, I know why it is done, but I still find it rather sad.
@eyesmile@altadc The courts are on an open campus of a school. They put the hoops up just for gym classes, then take them down so as not to encourage gang activity. Sad but true!
I like that it's empty, it's atmospheric. My kind of photo - no people in the wrong place! I have to wait for people to get out of my photos before taking them if they are not meant to be there, however this is particularly troublesome at tourist attractions - not easy to avoid unwanted people in photos there!
