I lost my father at a young age (yep, that is me in the middle), but he has never left my thoughts and memories and I have some wonderful though very distant memories of him! Now I get to share this day with my son and daughter and celebrate the wonderful man in our live's, my husband their father, so to all you Dad's out there I dedicate this day to you, and to those like me who lost their fathers' way to early I dedicate this to our memories of them.
This was taken on one of our family holidays, it is either Devon or Cornwall. I used to hate the long drive there from Hertfordshire as being the youngest I was always relegated to the middle of the back seat and according to my brother's I spent way too much time sulking about it though of course I remember none of that!
Beautiful picture captures the spirit of the day.I lost my Mother when I was A child so know something of what you feel. These B&W snaps are great to have because the are so rare. By the way that's not the windy city in the background....
Lovley memories ... your comment re mid back seat made me smile! I always recall 'fights' in the back of the car on long journeys to Devon! Super photo!
A bit late to the party here but wanted to comment on this lovely shot of you all looking so happy and relaxed. Kind of looks like your dad's saying Here I am, and I've got it all :)
