@jack4john This one was peeking over the fence of a rather neglected garden. Most of the plant looked rather sorry for itself apart from a few blooms, so not sure what that has to say about the soil it is in. I did find out this information about a hydrangea variation known as Anabelle that blooms every year after severe pruning or harsh winters and though I know this one has not been pruned in years we do have harsh winters.
I like it very much, and it is cool that there is a greenish shimmer, fading into a subtile violet. Obviously not a pure black and white image. What makes it very soft and gentle, despite the black background. Enchanting. Fav, of course.
@mona65@pistache Thank you Mona and Clare. I tried it in b&w (I tend to do a b&w edit of everything I do which I am sure is not a surprise) but I did not like it as much as this edit.
