A bit of a work in progress! Another shot for the B&W Artistry course. Not really where I want it, but as I have not touched PS much the learning curve is steep, and this is only the first week. I think I prefer the cleaner, slightly high key edit of this that I posted on my Instagram feed last week.
Nicely done Andie - I haven't found time to even look at the videos for the first week, let alone tackle the first assignment, so you're well ahead of me. This looks about right to me - Fav!
@vignouse Thanks Richard! It is a forever course so there is no need to do it weekly, I just decided to lay down that challenge to myself. It took me so long with the videos this week because I have little to no knowledge of PS, but if you do then the first weeks videos should not be to challenging.
Great shot. I started the artistry class (not b&w) last year but once the weather turned warm I abandoned it. And now I've totally forgotten all things PS!!!! How do you like it? I thought about joining it, too, since I'm trying out b&w now.
Really well composed.... love the symmetry. What black and white video course are you doing, if you don't mind my asking? This is really a wonderful shot.
@kt8ird I am enjoying it so far, especially finally learning PS, which has been sitting on my computer mostly unused on my laptop for over a year. I am not sure how I will do in the last couple of weeks when the course moves into more artistic work, I am not sure my mind is wired that way. I guess I am about to find out!
It's like that person standing at the end of the alley I photographed in Charleston! We're so lucky when we spot just the right people in just the right poses at just the right times -- and it's natural, not posed! Well spotted and captured! (And if you caught the Howard train you could have come up to Evanston!)
@ukandie1 I signed up. Am a little behind (as usual). should be fun. 😀 I am glad your post reminded me to check it out. I hope it helps w my b&w struggles!! Thank you and good luck!!!
