I spent a while trying to decide between b&w and color on this shot, whilst I liked the color version, I preferred the starkness the b&w edit gave me.

It's possible the birds might still have popped in the color, but for me the B&W defined them instantly as the subject

@dbj_365 the color version had lots of pastel colors, so you are correct in B&w the birds became the definite subject, I did not think about that until you pointed it out!
