We moved house just before Christmas, this is the bloom on a tree in our garden, according to Mr. Google it is a Magnolia tree, please correct me if you think I am incorrect!
I agree with black and white. Gorgeous picture. Wonderful to have a Magnolia tree in the garden. You will have nice photosubjects on hand throughout the year. The fruitstands and seeds are pretty too.
Fantastic that you have this in your back yard!!!!! It's an amazingly beautiful tree, so fleeting and fragile, and with gorgeous buds/flowers. I like your choice of b&w as it gets to its elegant structure so well.
