I went to the air and water show on both days, the first I spent trying to capture planes, the second I wanted to try and capture an interaction between people and the show they were watching. Harder than I thought, for two reasons 1. the angle you had to be to get both in the shot with the right focus and dof. 2. Dealing with crowds, the crowded shots were just not interesting, and getting people isolated with planes in the background required a huge dose of patience and luck!
This was my fav shot of the entire weekend!
Thanks for all of your lovely comments of late, I hope to catch up with you all soon!
Love love love this. I've restricted, I'm having treatment for breast cancer, I'm back to documentary photography, if you'd like to see (clearly you may not at all....) say and i'all put you on restricted photos. It's very real and honest.
@newbank Ruth I am so so sorry to hear that. I am not a good 365er these days when it comes to posting and commenting, I tend to do it in bunches and have subsequently lost touch with many here. Please keep me in your picture loop. My prayers and best wishes go out to you and your family!
I LOVE how this came out!!! Perfect to have that single young girl, standing tall as she watches. You must have been almost laying down to get this POV!
Bravo for both the shot difficulty the title, which for some describes the story they already saw, and for others it's a reminder that girls become pilots.
A belated fav for this fabulous image. Missed seeing you this past weekend and hoping all is well with you and family. Honestly, this is a wonderful shot.
