shadow play by vankrey

shadow play

At first it was the brilliant sun in the window that caught my eye, but then it was the play of shadow on the facade that intrigued me. I had a hard time figuring out which branches were from real trees in the foreground and which are shadows.
Very nice Michael! Love it in b&w.

Love the stark B&W touch to this shot. That flare draws the eye right into it.

Love the lines on this building! B&W is perfect for this shot.

I like your decision to do this as a b&w. It really makes the lines of the shadow and flare of the sun pop. I also like the texture of the buildings.

All those lines and the tree silhouette make for a really interesting shot and then of course the sun reflection - a real bonus. Great shot.

And the b&w is perfect for the shadow play . . . the effect of the silhouettes seems almost like lacy tentacles . . .

Hey Michael, my push challenge is for you take some photos of sunset or sunrise over Lake Michigan.

I love this, great capture of all those shadows. Fabulous shot.

the strong lines and contrast are very dramatic. I agree that not being able to tell the actual branches from the shadow makes this very interesting. great shot!

@vankrey perhaps you should go for a dusk/sunset shot wherever you are. It can't be that late in the evening and if the weather is inclement then this would add to the mood, or even blueness
