Limp Gerbera

I was given a bouquet of flowers last week and although beautiful at the time have not lasted long. I was hopeful in rescuing the Gerbera but they are not looking too good.

next time prick a tiny hole at thier neck with a needle or pin and apparantly that stops the droop. A lovely, but sad, picture.

They do wilt quickly but are nice while they last.

I do love gerberas but they do go limp quickly. I think when florists put them in floral arrangements they put wires in the stems so they don't bow over.

Great use of droopy gerberas. Why not cut the heads off and display by floating them in a flat dish of water .

@wendyfrost I did just that and had them on my patio table. They lasted for another 5 days.
