A follow on from yesterday.
The beaches in this area is mainly made up of stones. There has been coastal erosion which in my opinion has been badly managed. The council in there infinite wisdom have been shifting tons of stones got the west of the Island to the east.
This has been happening for some time but the east continues to flood during storms and high tides.
Nothing like hurricanes and storms to erode the beaches here. Moving sand is about all they can do - unless they built multi-billion dollar moving walls like Venice did.
Nice capture of the seagull flying. For years the east coast of my state and the one south of us have been dredging the waters along the shore line and putting the sand back on the beach. I think that probably it takes one bad store to undo a lot of what they try to repair. Mother Nature's going to win.
Yes, governments are known to make these mistakes and not actually help the environment
