Seagull leading the way

A follow on from yesterday.
The beaches in this area is mainly made up of stones. There has been coastal erosion which in my opinion has been badly managed. The council in there infinite wisdom have been shifting tons of stones got the west of the Island to the east.
This has been happening for some time but the east continues to flood during storms and high tides.
A fabulous shot with wonderful reflections, love the leader. That sounds like quite a mission and ongoing issue you have there.

We have much the same problem here in Suffolk. Massive erosion and then moving of rocks and sand. Its a bit like King Kanute!!

Nothing like hurricanes and storms to erode the beaches here. Moving sand is about all they can do - unless they built multi-billion dollar moving walls like Venice did.

Interesting capture. Some situations are very difficult to solve.

I really like the clarity in your photo and the reflections. I wouldn’t know where to begin in solving an erosion problem especially on the ocean.

It is a shame they do not fix it properly. Great reflections.

Even a large utility truck can look beautiful with a reflection. Nicely captured.

Nice capture of the seagull flying. For years the east coast of my state and the one south of us have been dredging the waters along the shore line and putting the sand back on the beach. I think that probably it takes one bad store to undo a lot of what they try to repair. Mother Nature's going to win.

Great reflection. The sea will win!!

It’s a never ending struggle. At least they are trying.

lovely photo and colours, who won this race?

Yes, governments are known to make these mistakes and not actually help the environment

Lovely capture and I love the reflections

I think it will be an ongoing problem. Our beaches are eroding especially after the constant rains over the last few years.
